Jennifer was awarded the 2017 Houston ACF Fraud Fighter of the Year Award for her part in the investigation and subsequent arrest of a former NFL player and company executive who stole approximately $1 million from their employer.
Jennifer graduated from Louisiana State University and has over 20 years of experience in accounting, auditing, consolidations and quality assurance.
Presentation Description:
This presentation will be a detailed accounting of a fraud case in which an employee was stealing money from their employer to the tune of approximately $1 million.
The fraud involved money laundering, theft, and the usage of an unauthorized transaction device to steal approximately $977,000 from the company. This discovery and investigation lead to 21 various charges against the one-time senior vice president.
Transactions included $40,000 in "personal clothing purchases" and $31,000 in charges to The Home Depot and also used a website to create fictitious receipts which were later submitted for reimbursement from the company.
