Welcome to Houston acfe!The Association of Certified Fraud Examiner's is the world's largest anti-fraud organization and premier provider of anti-fraud training and education. Together with more than 80,000 members, the ACFE is reducing business fraud worldwide and inspiring public confidence in the integrity and objectivity within the profession. The Houston area chapter is dedicated to the ACFE mission of fighting fraud by providing Houston area professionals fraud training and education. President's corner:Updated December 16, 2024 Our December Members Appreciation Event was held on Tuesday, Dec 11. We had 4 great speakers: Bill Nantz, Mike Munro, Felipe Gutierrez and Troy Huth. Special thanks to our 100 attendees who came! We awarded the CFE exam award of $500 to Ozzie Fong, who was a Houston Chapter member for 60 days and passed the CFE Exam and was certified as a CFE from the National ACFE organization. Our Houston Chapter has given away 6 other CFE exam awards this year! We gathered gifts for the holidays for Houston kids which were delivered to "Pancho Claus" at the Latino Learning Center. They will be delivered to kids in the neighborhood this coming month. Congratulations to our Houston Chapter Award Winners: CFE of the Year: Daniel McGettrick, Farmers' Insurance Educator of the Year: Brucus Owdley, Ph.D., Houston Police Department and Texas Southern University Professor Fraud Impact Award: Harris County Precinct 6 Constable's office: Sgt Mauro Alvarado and Constable Derrick Martinez We just concluded our first kick off meeting at Houston Christian University!
